Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Gupta noted that the education sector has witnessed significant transformation since the BJP-led government came to power at the Centre in 2014.

She emphasised the importance of collaboration between government and academic institutions, stating, “Can we work together with DU to create a system where the government develops the structural framework and the university helps shape the academic content? Every college should be linked with two or three schools. College students should regularly visit these schools, weekly or fortnightly, to motivate and inspire younger students, instilling new hope in them.”

Gupta said, “Government schools must be our focus, while private schools should come second.”

She added: “Just as Prime Minister Narendra Modi ensured the establishment of hundreds of colleges, several universities, IITs, IIMs, and medical colleges during his tenure, we must work together for Delhi’s educational progress from primary to post-graduation.”
