Cabinet Ministers Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Kapil Mishra, along with senior officials, accompanied her during the inspection.

Gupta said the Red Fort, a historic site associated with the Guru’s supreme sacrifice, would host a grand programme. She invited people from the city and across India to attend the commemoration.

A special light-and-sound show would be organised on the ramparts of the Red Fort, and seven sangat groups would perform satsang and kirtan.

Gupta said, “The gurmat samagam is a solemn and grand tribute to the Guru tradition and the highest ideals of humanity and the government is fully committed to the smooth conduct of the event.”
