Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday visited Shalimar Bagh to conducted an inspection the area and reviewing water supply systems, road conditions and tree pruning while addressing complaints regarding stray dogs. She assured residents that necessary steps would be taken to resolve long-standing problems in the locality.

During her visit to AC Block, Gupta assessed the water supply situation and held discussions with officials to ensure uninterrupted service for residents.

“Inspected the water supply system in AC Block, Shalimar Bagh, and held important discussions with officials. Every necessary step is being taken to provide better water services, and improvement work will be completed soon. Ensuring clean and uninterrupted water supply in Delhi is our priority and responsibility,” she posted on X.

In BW Block, she took stock of multiple civic concerns that had reportedly been pending for months, particularly issues related to roads, water supply and tree pruning.

“Inspected BW Block in Shalimar Bagh and assessed various issues in the area. Several problems related to water, roads and tree pruning have been pending since the time of the previous government. To address the issue of stray dogs, experts will be consulted to develop an effective policy that ensures animal rights are protected while providing relief to citizens,” she wrote.

Residents raised concerns over delayed repair work, poor waste management and water shortages. Gupta assured them that the government would take steps to expedite the improvements.

Later, the CM also inspected BC East Block along with Water Board officials, assessing water supply conditions and gathering feedback from residents about water scarcity and quality issues.

“After gathering information from the local public about the problems of water scarcity and dirty water, I directed Water Board officials to take necessary steps for improvement so that people do not face difficulties during the summer. Our top priority is to ensure a pure and adequate water supply in every area of Delhi, and our government will take every possible step to achieve this,” she wrote on X.
