She emphasized that the government is continuously working to ensure well-planned and sustainable infrastructure across all neighborhoods.

Inaugurating the completed works in SD (C) Block, HP Block, LP Block, RU Block, MU Block and G&JU Block, the CM highlighted their direct impact on residents. “These development projects will significantly improve the infrastructure of Pitampura and benefit thousands of people,” she stated.

The newly completed works include a sump well, pump house, staff room and toilet block in SD (C) Block, drainage improvements along Gopal Mandir Marg and City Park Hotel in LP Block as well as strengthening of Outer Ring Road at a cost of Rs 12.86 crore.

During inspection, CM Gupta also took note of unauthorised posters and banners on public property and instructed officials to ensure their removal. “No one has the right to damage public property. If we want a clean and beautiful Delhi, everyone’s cooperation is necessary,” she asserted.

She reiterated her government’s long-term commitment to providing world-class infrastructure across Delhi. “The government is working tirelessly to turn the dream of ‘Viksit Delhi’ into reality. Providing high-quality facilities to every citizen is not only our responsibility, but also our commitment,” she said.

Sanitary inspector suspended

During the inspection in the Shalimar Bagh Assembly Constituency, the CM found serious sanitation lapses in Pitampura Block where drains less than four feet deep had not been properly cleaned. Taking strict action, the sanitary inspector of Ward No. 57, Keshav Puram Zone, was suspended for negligence.

Additionally, sanitation officials from Ward Nos 55 and 57 were transferred on administrative grounds. The authorities have been directed to ensure proper upkeep of sanitation standards.

CM asks authorities to arrange shelter for animals

CM Rekha Gupta’s convoy was unexpectedly halted for about 15 minutes on the Haiderpur flyover after stray cattle obstructed the road. As the CM and her officials were passing through, a group of four to five cattle wandered onto the flyover, bringing the convoy to a standstill. Gupta stepped out of her vehicle to assess the situation and instructed the authorities concerned to arrange proper shelter for stray cattle to prevent such incidents in the future.
