CM on three-day campaign trail in Bihar ahead of Assembly polls

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has embarked on a three-day visit to Bihar to campaign for National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidates ahead of the state Assembly elections. This marks her third visit to the poll-bound state in recent weeks.

Gupta left for Bihar on Monday evening and is scheduled to return to Delhi on Thursday evening, November 6. During her visit, she will address public rallies, participate in roadshows and seek support for NDA candidates in over a dozen constituencies across the state. She is being accompanied by senior BJP leaders and alliance partners.

According to officials, the Chief Minister is slated to campaign in Gaura Bauram, Arwal, Gaya Town and Aurangabad Assembly constituencies on Wednesday. On Thursday, she will address rallies and hold roadshows in Bhagalpur, Warisaliganj, Hisua, and Dinara before returning to Delhi.

After arriving in Bihar on Monday evening, Gupta participated in a massive public rally in Bankipur. On Tuesday, she led roadshows in Siwan, Gopalganj, Barharia, Baikunthpur and adjoining areas, drawing large crowds of supporters.

During her roadshow in Siwan, thousands gathered along the roads to greet her, showering flowers and chanting slogans of “Phir se NDA Sarkar” as she led a roadshow from Badkagaon to Tarwar. The enthusiasm continued in Gopalganj, where she took part in another grand procession joined by hundreds of party workers and local residents.

Addressing the public, Gupta praised the development works carried out under PM Narendra Modi’s vision and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership. “Bihar has witnessed visible progress in every sector, from roads and flyovers to colleges, hospitals and airports. The NDA government has brought new direction and momentum to the state’s growth,” she said.

Taking a swipe at the Opposition, Gupta said, “Those who once consumed fodder meant for animals are now trying to feed people with false promises. But the people of Bihar are wise and they will not be misled again. The days of ‘jungle raj’ are over, when corruption and lawlessness ruled under the lantern’s shadow.”

Urging voters to support NDA candidates, the Delhi CM appealed to the people to “press the button for the lotus symbol”. “The love, support and trust of the people of Bihar are the NDA’s greatest strength. This energy will continue to guide Bihar on the path of development,” she said.

Last week, Gupta had also campaigned in several constituencies, including Bocha in Muzaffarpur, Patna Sahib, Danapur, Madhuban and Dinara, shortly after the Chhath Puja celebrations.

Her repeated visits to Bihar underscore the BJP’s efforts to mobilise strong electoral support across key constituencies as the state gears up for voting on November 6 and 11.
