Professor Rajive Kumar, former Member Secretary of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), today joined as the eighth Vice-Chancellor of JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad.
The appointment, for a period of three years, was formalised through a notification issued by Haryana Raj Bhavan, Chandigarh, by the Governor and Chancellor of the University, Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh. Prof Kumar succeeds Prof Sushil Kumar Tomar, who had served as the V-C since February 22, 2022.
A distinguished scholar, Prof Kumar holds a PhD from IIT Delhi, an MSc and MPhil from the erstwhile Roorkee University (now IIT Roorkee), and an ME in Computer Technology and Application from Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi. With over 33 years’ experience in academic institutions, he has been active in shaping policies and strategies that foster innovative education and empower future generations.
