CM reviews health projects
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday chaired a high-level review meeting with senior officials of the Health & Family Welfare Department and the Public Works Department (PWD) at the Delhi Secretariat, directing departments to expedite work on new hospitals and ensure all health centres meet Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS).
Emphasising the government’s commitment to accessible and quality healthcare, Gupta said, “A healthy Delhi is the foundation of a Viksit Delhi. Our government is working 24x7 to modernise the healthcare system and expand its reach.”
As per official data shared at the meeting, 2,95,237 beneficiaries have been registered under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), enabling them to access free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh. Additionally, 1,23,242 senior citizens have enrolled under the PM Vaya Vandana Yojana. The Chief Minister instructed officials to accelerate the registration of remaining eligible citizens under both schemes.
