CM reviews progress of development works in north-west segment

The meeting was attended by local MP Yogender Chandoliya, MLAs from the region and senior officials from various departments.
The CM reviewed critical civic infrastructure projects, including roadworks, water supply, drainage, street lighting and sanitation. She directed officials to complete all development works on time and with uncompromised quality. “Our goal is to ensure that the benefits of development reach people at the earliest,” she said.
One of the key focuses during the meeting was the construction of a new block at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital. CM Gupta asked officials to expedite the work to provide patients with a modern and well-equipped facility. She also reviewed the progress of the Ring Road renovation from Vikaspuri to Mukarba Chowk and announced that she would conduct an inspection of the project on June 30. “This project should set an example of sustainable urban development with a widened green belt,” she said.
Taking stock of senior citizen welfare, the CM instructed officials to ensure the swift construction of an old age home in Rohini Sector 4. She also called for the modernisation of all DTC bus stands in the area, ensuring seating, shelter and sanitation.
Concerns over waterlogging in Narela villages prompted directions to establish a permanent drainage system. She also instructed officials of the departments concerned to complete the desilting of drains before the monsoon to prevent public inconvenience.
The CM addressed issues such as encroachments on the DUSIB land, unauthorised plotting on agricultural land and exposed electric wires in several sectors of Rohini. She also sought a revival plan for a historic site linked to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Tikri Village.
