The newly launched CM Shri Schools in Delhi have received an overwhelmingly positive response, with more than 50,000 applications submitted within days of the admission process opening on August. The surge in interest, announced today by Delhi’s Education Minister, Ashish Sood, reflects strong public trust in the government’s latest push to provide high-quality, innovative education.
Described as a transformative step for school education in the capital, CM Shri Schools are designed with state-of-the-art infrastructure and modern teaching methodologies, aimed at delivering world-class learning environments for students across Delhi.
According to the Department of Education, the interest spans all available classes, with 14,928 applications received for Class 6; 15,114 for Class 7; and 20,762 for Class 8. The Education Minister noted this widespread enthusiasm among parents clearly signals their confidence in the government’s vision and its commitment to educational excellence.
“We are ensuring a transparent and seamless admission process,” said Sood, reassuring parents of a fair and efficient system.
The CM Shri Schools initiative has been positioned as a flagship education reform by Delhi Government, aiming to raise new standards through innovative pedagogy and a future-ready curriculum. The strong early response has been hailed by officials as a clear endorsement from the community.
“This demand is a testament to the faith families have placed in us to deliver quality education. It marks a new era for public schooling in Delhi,” the Education Minister added.
