A Chief Minister’s flying squad raided a firecracker factory being run illegally at Alipur village of Tigaon area in Faridabad, seizing 10,119 crackers, potash and aluminum powder.

An FIR was registered at the Tigaon police station.

According to the flying squad, they got information about the illegal unit on Thursday, and a surprise inspection was carried our along with personnel and officials from the Fire Brigade, Pollution Department, Electricity Department and the police. The owner was identified as Rohit Kumar of Rohini in Delhi.

“Large quantities of firecrackers and explosives used in manufacturing were found stored there. The Electricity Department carried out its own action as electricity theft was also noticed,” a flying squad member said.
