Cold wave tightens grip

Cold wave continues to tighten its grip on Delhi. On Thursday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 25.7 degrees Celsius, which is 0.3 degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature dipped to 8.3 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal, marking one of the chilliest mornings of the season so far, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The IMD has forecast moderate fog on Friday, with daytime and nighttime temperatures expected to hover around 26 and 10 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Slight relief from the cold is expected toward the end of the month. The IMD predicts a minimum of 12 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 27 degrees Celsius on Saturday, while Sunday is likely to record 12 degrees as the minimum and 26 degrees as the maximum.
