College student among 6 hurt in mishap

Six people, including a college student, were critically injured in a tragic accident that took place on Sunday night, when a car collided with a tractor-trailer and a lintel loading machine near the Ghamroj toll on the Gurugram-Sohna elevated flyover.

According to the police, the accident took place around 11:30 pm.

The student, Abhishek, a resident of Abhaypur village, was on his way towards Gurugram in his car when he reached near the Ghamroj toll and his car collided with a tractor-trailer and a lintel-laying machine attached to it, which did not even have headlights and dippers. In all, six persons were injured. Abhishek, who was seriously injured, was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram in an unconscious state. The rest were also rushed to the hospital.

Liluram, Abhishek’s neighbour, who was among the injured, said the police had not yet recorded the statement of the family.

A senior police official said the FIR would be registered after the victims’ statement was recorded.
