Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Devender Yadav stated that the Congress would closely monitor the BJP government’s performance over the next few months.
While Delhi people have given the BJP a mandate to govern, Yadav emphasised that the Congress would raise critical issues affecting the public if the government failed to address them.
“The BJP’s top priority should be to solve the problems of Delhi,” he said.
Yadav also highlighted the BJP’s practice of rebranding schemes, noting that the Modi government did the same in 2014 with Congress schemes. He said if the rebranding of Mohalla Clinics benefited the people, there was no reason to oppose it.
Regarding the BJP’s actions on cleaning the Yamuna, Yadav criticised their token efforts and stated that the true test would be when the water quality improved enough to take a dip.
On the issue of probes into AAP leaders, Devender Yadav asserted that the AAP should not be scared if its actions were transparent. He questioned the BJP’s handling of corruption allegations and stated that the truth must come out, urging the party to ensure accountability in both Kejriwal government and the current BJP-led administration.
