Congress leaders pay tribute to Sheila Dikshit on her birth anniv
On the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Devender Yadav, along with senior Congress leaders, gathered at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, to offer floral tributes in her memory.
Devender Yadav, along with several prominent leaders, paid their respects to the late leader. Among those present were former Ministers Dr. Narendra Nath, Sandeep Dikshit, Kiran Walia, Anil Bhardwaj, Jatin Sharma, and District President Sidharth Rau. Other party leaders like Dharam Pal Chandela, Rajkumar Jain, Harsh Chaudhary, Adesh Bhardwaj, P.K. Mishra, J.P. Pawar, and Sunil Kumar also joined the tribute.
Devender Yadav reflected on the legacy of Sheila Dikshit, emphasizing the remarkable transformation Delhi underwent during her tenure as Chief Minister. He highlighted the Congress Government’s achievements, particularly under her leadership, which led to the city’s elevation as a world-class capital.
Speaking on the occasion, Yadav said, “Under Sheila Dikshit’s leadership, the Congress Government brought groundbreaking developments that continue to shape Delhi. With the support of leaders like Sonia Gandhi, Dr. Manmohan Singh, and others, key projects such as the Delhi Metro, CNG in public transport, flyovers, underpasses, extensive road networks, sewage systems, and a green Delhi were successfully implemented. These initiatives have left a lasting imprint on the city, and the people of Delhi continue to remember her for these transformative contributions.”
