The accused, identified as Ravindra, a resident of Baya ki Dhani near Nangal Chaudhary in Mahendergarh district, confessed to the murder during interrogation. He told police that his partner had recently been in contact with other people and had also gone out with them. Upon her return, the two argued, during which he strangled her with a towel.

Ravindra joined the Haryana Police as a constable in 2017 and was currently posted with the Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) unit in Palwal district.
