Cops scan CCTVs to trace accused

The Delhi Police have formed multiple teams to scan the CCTV cameras installed on the campus of India’s prestigious South Asian University Campus (SAU) in Maidangarhi, South Delhi, to find out the accused involved in the sexual assault of a female student, an official said. Moreover, they have also questioned some students known to the victim.

As per sources, she is staying with her parents outside the university campus and her statement has been recorded. As of now, no arrests have been made in this case.

The source also claimed that the girl can be seen in the CCTV footage going towards the place of the incident, but no other person was visible in it. A delegation of students also met university officials and the administration assured them of appropriate action against the hostel in-charge. However, no action was taken till the filing of this report.
