Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood on Saturday attended the convocation ceremony of the College of Arts, urging graduating students to embrace their creative potential as a driving force in shaping India’s future.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said the event marked more than an academic achievement, describing it as “a celebration of your hard work, your imagination and your indomitable creativity. You have proved that perseverance and dedication always lead to success.”
He underscored the centrality of artistic expression to national progress, calling creativity “the oxygen of civilisation”. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi often emphasises that nations where creativity flourishes “ultimately rise as Vishwaguru.” Referring to the pillars of Content, Creativity and Culture, Sood quoted the Prime Minister’s vision of the Orange Economy.
At the ceremony, degrees were conferred upon 227 Bachelor of Fine Arts graduates and 47 Master of Fine Arts postgraduates.
