Delhi: AAP failed to address stray cattle menace, says ex-Mayor
Raja Iqbal Singh, Leader of Opposition and former Mayor of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), lashed out at the AAP for its failure to address the increasing stray cattle menace in the city.
Singh criticised the AAP for making false promises during the municipal elections, claiming that the stray cattle problem had worsened since the party came to power. Stray cattle pose threat to motorists and pedestrians, leading to accidents and instilling fear among Delhi residents.
“Stray cattle menace continues to trouble Delhi residents. Despite that, the Mayor remains indifferent,” Singh said in a statement.
He said stray cattle could be seen roaming around in every lane or street in the city. Accidents caused by stray cattle were being reported in the city on a regular basis.
Singh accused the AAP of making extravagant promises during the elections, only for the public to be left struggling with basic issues afterward.
The Leader of Opposition urged the Delhi residents to reject the “lies and deception” of the ruling AAP, calling for accountability ahead of the upcoming elections.
