The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has welcomed the Central Government’s decision to send an all-party delegation abroad to garner international support against Pakistan-backed terrorism. Calling it a positive and necessary step, Delhi AAP president Saurabh Bharadwaj said the move could prove more effective than Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s numerous foreign visits over the years.

Speaking to the media on Sunday, Bharadwaj said, “It’s a great decision. Prime Minister Modi has made over 80 foreign trips, supposedly to strengthen India’s foreign relations. But when we recently faced a terror attack in Pahalgam and tensions with Pakistan escalated, no major global power stood with India or even named Pakistan in condemnation.”

He highlighted that the diplomatic momentum expected from Modi’s visits did not translate into meaningful international backing when it was most needed. “None of the powerful nations openly held Pakistan accountable,” Bharadwaj added.

The AAP leader said sending a cross-party delegation abroad reflected a more inclusive and strategic effort to raise India’s concerns on a global platform. “This approach is an acknowledgment that foreign policy should be a collective national effort, not limited to one party’s image-building exercises,” he remarked.

Bharadwaj expressed hope that involving Members of Parliament from all parties would lead to broader diplomatic engagement and strengthen India’s global narrative against terrorism. “We stand with the government on this initiative, as it aligns with India’s national interest,” he concluded.
