Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta asserts need for global harmony
Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta today stressed the importance of global solidarity and harmony as he graced an event organised by World Brotherhood Organisation.
The event, led by WBO president Kapil Khanna, highlighted the organisation's foundational principles and ongoing initiatives for cultivating universal brotherhood.
Gupta detailed the WBO's support to over 50 nations during the Covid-19 and said the organisation exemplified the ancient Indian philosophy of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”.
Khanna, who is also VHP Delhi chief, spoke about India's role in international solidarity, citing its $3 billion credit line to Sri Lanka and its resilience in navigating external conflicts.
Former Assistant Chief of the Air Staff OP Tiwari spoke of September 11 as the International Brotherhood Day, originally conceived by Rabindranath Tagore. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh asserted that true brotherhood hinged on a direct assault on global poverty.
