Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Sunday completed two years of his tenure as the state party chief, coinciding with Shaheed Diwas.

Reflecting on his leadership, Sachdeva expressed satisfaction over the dedication of party workers and credited the Central leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President J.P. Nadda, and Home Minister Amit Shah, for the party’s achievements in the Capital.

“As a party worker, we all have certain responsibilities. Coincidentally, today is March 23, observed as Shaheed Diwas. On this day, we salute the supreme sacrifices of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. It was on this very day that I was entrusted with my responsibility, and I take satisfaction in knowing that all Delhi workers have worked with immense dedication and passion over the past two years,” Sachdeva said.

Before becoming the Delhi BJP president, Sachdeva held several key positions within the party, including state vice-president and president of Chandni Chowk and Mayur Vihar district units. He has been actively involved in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since his early years and gradually rose through the party ranks.

Beyond politics, Sachdeva has played a significant role in sports administration. He served as the treasurer of the Archery Association of India and was the president of the Delhi Archery Association. He was also the manager of the Indian archery team at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
