Festive cafes, sweet delights

For those who love the charm of Christmas decorations and themed cafes, Delhi’s café culture is taking the festive season to new heights. Not far behind, Majnu Ka Tilla, or Mini Tibet, offers a cozy winter vibe at Wongden Café, where Christmas-themed cakes and snowy decor add to the festive spirit. For those in South West Delhi, Vasant Kunj’s Cray Café provides a snowy experience and vibrant holiday decorations. Connaught Place also gets in on the action with Xero Degreee Café, where you can indulge in the snowy atmosphere and holiday treats.

This year, Delhi’s carnival scene promises to be bigger and better than ever. The Hyatt Regency Delhi is hosting one of the most extravagant events of the season with a Christmas Carnival that promises interactive activities like tree lighting, Santa’s Grotto, MasterChef challenges, and sing-along carols.

For a more traditional touch, the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce brings the famous German Christmas Market at Malcha Road, where visitors can enjoy Christmas trinkets, plum cakes, and even create gingerbread houses with family and friends.

Le Meridien is also set to host Santa’s Pal, a fun-filled event for families, featuring magic shows, face painting, hoopla games, and balloon shooting from 9 am to 8 pm on December 24.

Christmas Eve Dining

For those looking to dine out, Delhi’s restaurants are rolling out special Christmas eve and Christmas Day feasts. Cabo Deli in Cariappa Marg offers a Christmas brunch with a wide array of dim sums, baos, sushi, wines, and beers, priced from Rs 1,499 to Rs 2,599. Meanwhile, Harajuku Tokyo Café offers a festive Christmas brunch across its NCR locations, with prices starting at Rs 2,895 for adults and Rs 1,495 for children.

The Park at Parliament Street invites guests to enjoy a Christmas Eve dinner under the stars at Aqua, its poolside restaurant. For Rs 2,500 plus taxes, guests can enjoy a curated set menu with a glass of mulled wine. Alternatively, the hotel’s Mist restaurant offers a lavish Christmas Eve buffet with special holiday delicacies, priced from Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,500, depending on whether guests choose to include alcohol.

The Best Christmas Cakes

For those opting for a quieter Christmas celebration at home, Delhi’s bakeries are offering an array of decadent festive treats. Theos, a premium bakery chain with multiple locations, is famous for its plum cakes and macarons.
