The committee deliberated on shortlisted designs chosen to represent Delhi’s glorious history, vibrant culture, and aspirations of its citizens. “It is a privilege for my government to have the opportunity to select Delhi’s official logo. This logo will establish the unique identity of the capital as a new emblem. The aim is for it to reflect Delhi’s modern, transparent, and people-centric governance,” said Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

The Chief Minister noted that, unlike most Indian states, Delhi has not had an official logo until now. She said her government took up the initiative soon after assuming office. A logo design competition was launched on the mygov.in portal, attracting more than 1,800 entries from across the country. A special expert committee, chaired by the Secretary of the General Administration Department, was tasked with reviewing and shortlisting the designs.
