New Delhi, January 20

Delhi L-G VK Saxena directed the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to collaborate with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and devise a comprehensive roadmap for the redevelopment and restoration of the Shalimar Bagh Sheesh Mahal Complex.

During a visit to the complex, Saxena expressed dismay over the neglect this architectural gem faced due to apathy from various departments.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
