Labour and Employment Minister Kapil Mishra chaired a high-level meeting at the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday to discuss strategies aimed at creating job opportunities for Delhi’s youth in various sectors.
The meeting saw participation from key stakeholders, including representatives from industrial bodies such as DICCI (Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry), CII and PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as officials from the Department of Training and Technical Education, Department of Higher Education and Delhi Technical Institute.
Mishra emphasised that the government was determined to leaving no stone unturned in its mission to provide employment aligned with the qualifications and interests of Delhi’s youth. “Every youth of Delhi is our priority. Whether a labourer, an engineer, or a graduate from a technical or non-technical background, we are committed to ensuring employment opportunities for all,” he said.
The government’s strategy focuses on strengthening collaboration between industrial bodies, educational institutions and government departments to build an efficient employment ecosystem.
As part of this initiative, the Delhi Government’s 2025-26 Budget has allocated funds for organising employment fairs.
A mega job fair is slated for July 2025, providing a common platform where job seekers can connect directly with recruiting organisations across multiple sectors.
