Delhi police urge people to share information on January 26 violence

The Delhi police on Friday have issued a general people to the public, including journalists, who have witnessed the violent incidents on January 26 during the farmers’ tractor rally.

They have requested people to come forward, and share information regarding the violence.

During the appeal, the police also assured the public that their identity would be kept hidden, if they decide to come forward as witnesses.

In the appeal issued by Joint CP of the Crime Branch of Delhi Police, BK Singh, it said: “Whereas on January 26, 2021, the protesting farmers had taken out a tractor rally and had indulged in violence in Delhi.”

“All members of the public including media persons, who are witnesses to the incidents or have any information about the incidents or have captured any activity on their mobile phones or cameras, are hereby requested to come forward and give their statements/footages/pictures in their possession at Room Number 215, second floor, old Delhi Police Headquarters, ITO, IP Estate, New Delhi during office hours on any working day”.
