Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Government. He claimed that the BJP’s slogan “ab nahi sahenge, badal ke rahenge” (We Will No Longer Endure, We Will Change) reflects the growing frustration among the residents of Delhi.

Sachdeva emphasised that the people of the national capital are fed up with the civic issues and the lack of progress in the city under the current government.

Speaking at the inauguration of the party election office ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, Sachdeva claimed that the BJP had conducted consultations with Delhi residents about its manifesto.

“When we asked residents for their suggestions, they said they no longer want the present government to return. They are frustrated with the irregularities and misgovernance of the AAP government,” he stated.

Sachdeva stressed that people of Delhi were now looking for an “honest and work-oriented” government that can address pressing civic issues such as broken roads, poor water supply and overflowing sewers.

“People want change. They want development. So, we will bring with a double-engine government," he said.

The BJP leader pointed fingers at former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of worsening the city's problems during his tenure.

“Despite making grand promises, the Kejriwal government failed on all fronts. Whether it's pollution control, basic infrastructure, or addressing unfulfilled promises, this government has let the people down," said Sachdeva.

“Delhi people bring about the change they deserve,” Sachdeva remarked, expressing confidence in a BJP victory.

The Delhi BJP president reiterated that the present AAP government had failed to address the city's pollution crisis and had not lived up to the expectations of the people.

He assured that the BJP was fully prepared for the upcoming elections and would run a campaign focused on the concerns of Delhi's residents.

"People are fed up with Kejriwal's corruption and false promises. They will respond decisively in the coming days," he said.

Sachdeva emphasized that the BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, would bring growth and development to Delhi with a "double-engine government", if the party was voted to power in the next year’s Assembly elections.

"We will create a clean, healthy and developed Delhi,” he said.

The Delhi BJP also inaugurated its election office on Saturday and flagged off video vans to gather public suggestions for its ‘Sankalp Patra’ (Resolution Document), titled ‘Meri Delhi Mera Sankalp’ (My Delhi, My Resolve).

Kejriwal criticises BJP's slogan

AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal strongly criticised the BJP for its official campaign slogan, “Badal Ke Rahenge”, claiming that it signals a potential rollback of key initiatives implemented by the AAP government in Delhi over the past decade. Reacting to the BJP's announcement, Kejriwal took to social media platform X and said, “I had already said that if the BJP comes to power, they will undo all the work we have done in the past 10 years. Today, they have officially announced that they will change everything.” “The BJP has made its intentions clear. They will stop all free services provided by the AAP government. If they come to power, Delhiites will face long power cuts, skyrocketing electricity bills, and collapse of education and healthcare systems,” he said. Kejriwal appealed to people of Delhi to vote wisely to ensure the continuation of the benefits provided by AAP.
