Delhi’s Home Dept transfers 14 officers

The Delhi Government’s Home Department on Friday transferred 14 senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers across key divisions such as crime, traffic, intelligence, vigilance and special cell.

Neeraj Thakur has been appointed Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) — a move that re-establishes unified command over the city’s traffic management after nearly half a decade.

Ajay Chaudhry, who was serving as Special CP (Traffic zone 2) has been moved as Special CP (Vigilance division) with additional charge of Special Police Unit for Women and Children (SPUWAC).

Robin Hibu will now look after Special CP, Human Resource Division, who was earlier posted in Public Transport Safety division.

Rajesh Khurana has been moved as Special CP, Provision and Finance division from Delhi Police Housing Corporation Limited (DPHCL).

Devesh Chandra Srivastava will continue as Special CP (Crime) with additional charge of Perception Management and Media Cell.

David Lalrinsanga posted as Special CP, Operations, PCR and Communication has been given additional charge of Special Police Unit for North-Eastern Region (SPUNER).

Anil Shukla will assume charge as Special CP (Special Cell) with an additional charge of Technology and Project Implementation division.

Manish Kumar Agarwal will assume charge as Special CP (Intelligence division) with additional charge of the Public Transport Safety.

Atul Katiyar will continue as Special CP (Welfare division) with added charge of Licensing and Legal division.

K Jegadesan, who was posted as Speccial CP (Traffic zone 1) has been moved as Special CP (Protective Security division) with an additional charge of the DPHCL.

In mid-level postings, Vijay Kumar will now serve as Joint CP (CP Secretariat and OSD to CP Delhi), while Rajiv Ranjan Singh has been moved to Additional CP (Eastern Range). Rohit Rajbir Singh and Vikram K Porwal have been appointed as the DCPs in the CP Secretariat for Crime and Administration, respectively.
