Denied treat over new phone, boys stab teen to death
A 16-year-old boy was stabbed to death in the Shakarpur area of East Delhi on Monday after he allegedly refused to treat a group of boys following his purchase of a new phone.
During the inspection of the body, the police found two stab wounds on the back. Further investigation revealed that the victim and his minor friend were returning after buying a new mobile phone when they encountered a group of three other boys near the Ramji Samosa shop.
“The group demanded a party to celebrate the new phone purchase, but the victim refused. An argument ensued,” a police official said.
The police registered a case under Section 103(1) (murder) and Section 3(5) (common intention) of the BNS.
“With the help of CCTV footage and local intelligence, three juveniles have been apprehended in this case, and the murder weapon, a dagger, has also been recovered,” an official said. All three accused are 16 years old, with two of them studying in Class IX and the third in Class XI.
