As per the official update, metro services on the Pink, Magenta, and Grey Lines — which usually begin at 7 am on Sundays — will start an hour earlier at 6 am on October 19, the eve of Diwali. The move is intended to handle the anticipated surge in passenger movement across the city as people venture out for last-minute shopping and festive preparations.

On October 20, Diwali day, the last train services will depart at 10 pm from terminal stations on all lines, including the Airport Express Line. However, services during the day will operate as per the usual schedule, minimising inconvenience for commuters.
