'Donate my organs, but my last wish is...', reads Delhi Class 10 student's note who died by suicide
In the note, he apologised to his family, requested that his organs be donated, and expressed a final wish that action be taken against the teachers so that 'no other student does what I did'
A 16-year-old Class 10 student died by alleged suicide at New Delhi’s Rajendra Place Metro Station, leaving behind a note accusing his school teachers of driving him to the extreme step.
According to police, the handwritten note found in the student’s school bag stated that he had been pushed to the brink by the behaviour of several teachers.
In the note, he apologised to his family, requested that his organs be donated, and expressed a final wish that action be taken against the teachers so that “no other student does what I did.”
The suicide note recovered from his school bag read, "I am very sorry I did this, but the school staff said so much that I had to do it. If any of my body (organs) works or is in condition to work, please donate it to someone who really needs it. My parents did a lot; I am sorry I couldn't give them anything. I'm sorry, brother, I was rude. I'm sorry, mother, I broke your heart so many times, now I will break it for the last time." "The school teachers are still there. What can I say to them? My last wish is that action be taken against them so that no other student does what I did... I am sorry, but the teachers did this to me," the note added.
The boy’s death triggered a protest by students and parents outside the school, demanding accountability and an impartial investigation.
As per the FIR, the student’s father alleged that his son had been under intense mental stress due to continuous harassment by certain teachers. The boy had repeatedly complained about being scolded, insulted and mentally troubled over minor issues, the FIR said.
Although the parents raised verbal complaints with teachers and the school principal, the harassment allegedly persisted.
On November 18, while his father was away, the teenager left for school but instead went to the metro station, where he allegedly jumped from Platform No. 2. Police later recovered his school bag containing the suicide note.
The FIR reproduces his message in which he apologised to his parents and brother and wrote that the teachers’ treatment had left him deeply distressed. He urged authorities to take action so that no other child suffers similarly.
Police said further investigation is underway and more details are awaited.
