Drug addict kills 65-year-old mother over money dispute, gets arrested
A 40-year-old drug addict allegedly murdered his mother following an argument over money in Delhi's Dayalpur area, police said on Saturday.
The accused, Sonu, a driver currently unemployed, was arrested for the crime.
Around 9 pm on Friday, police received a call about the incident. Upon reaching the scene, they found the 65-year-old woman dead.
Investigations revealed that Sonu frequently fought with his mother over money. On Friday night, a similar disputed escalated, leading him to kill her, police said.
The body has been sent to GTB Hospital for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway.
