The University of Delhi has officially invited applications for its Competence Enhancement Scheme (CES) for the academic session 2025-26. This unique initiative, launched in line with the NEP-2020, aims to provide learning opportunities for individuals of all age groups, enabling them to enrol in selected papers offered by university departments and colleges for semesters I, III, and V (July-December 2025).
The CES programme is designed to promote life-long learning and knowledge enhancement. It particularly caters to those who may not have had the opportunity to pursue formal education earlier in life, as well as individuals seeking to upgrade their academic or professional skills using the latest technological tools, knowledge and innovations.
Applicants can choose from a list of available papers being offered by various departments and colleges under DU. Admission to any course will be subject to the fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria and prerequisites, if applicable. Moreover, the number of CES admissions will depend on the availability of seats in the respective institutions, and such seats will be treated as supernumerary.
The registration window for CES is open from July 24 to July 29, with admissions commencing on July 29. Classes for the enrolled candidates are set to begin on August 1. Detailed information about the scheme — including available papers, eligibility, fee structure and registration procedure — is available in the CES e-brochure on the official DU admission portal.
