DU’s School of Open Learning extends admission deadline

The University of Delhi’s School of Open Learning (SOL), under the Department of Distance and Continuing Education, has extended the admission deadline for the 2025–26 academic session till October 15. The extension allows more students to apply for a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, with the added benefit of a dual degree option.

For undergraduate students, SOL is offering a wide variety of four-year degree programmes, including BA (Hons) English, BA (Hons) Political Science, BCom (Hons), Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis), Bachelor of Management Studies, and several BA Programme combinations such as English, Hindi, Economics, History, Mathematics, Political Science, Sanskrit and Urdu.

At the postgraduate level, the university is offering courses such as MBA, MA (Hindi, History, Political Science, Sanskrit), MCom, and degrees in Library and Information Science. While admissions to postgraduate programmes have closed, undergraduate admissions remain open till mid-October.

In addition to regular academic programmes, the Open Learning Development Centre (OLDC) at the Campus of Open Learning is also inviting applications for skill-based and foreign language courses. The skill courses, ranging from Personality Development, Radio Jockeying, Mass Communication, and Fashion Design, to Cyber Security, AI & Machine Learning, and VFX, are designed to provide industry-relevant training. These courses typically run for three to six months, with fees between Rs 6,000 and Rs 15,000.

The university is also offering foreign language courses in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Italian, Spanish, French, German, and Portuguese. These are available at certificate, diploma, and advanced diploma levels, with examinations and certifications conducted by the University of Delhi.
