Education Minister highlights vision for AI-enabled govt schools
Distributes 2,200 bags to support 500 students
Delhi’s Education Minister Ashish Sood visited MCD School, Lajpat Nagar-III, for a bag distribution ceremony to support students across Ward 7 schools on Thursday.
Addressing students and teachers, Sood said, “It fills me with pride to be among our young learners today. Having studied at a government school myself, this is nothing short of a homecoming. These bags we hand out today are not just for books, they carry their dreams, leading them to a brighter future. Our teachers, who are among the most meritorious, play a crucial role in shaping these futures and building an Atmanirbhar Bharat.” He added, “The Delhi Government will transform all government schools within five years to an extent that future generations will seek recommendations for admission into these schools.”
Sood emphasised the government’s efforts to introduce AI-enabled education, improved infrastructure and CSR-backed upgrades across schools.
Over 2,200 bags were distributed to students from nursery to Class V, with more than 500 children participating.
Reflecting on Peepul’s decade-long association, Urmila Chowdhury said, “It is deeply meaningful to see this celebration take place at the school where Peepul began its journey a decade ago.”
