Elderly man shot at by grandson over property row

A 72-year-old man was allegedly shot at by his grandson following a property dispute in Central Delhi’s Turkman Gate area on Tuesday.

The victim, identified as Shahbuddin, was injured during a heated argument with his family members. Preliminary investigations revealed that Shahbuddin, his son, and grandsons had been embroiled in a long-standing dispute over ancestral property, which turned violent.

The police said one of the grandsons allegedly opened fire at Shahbuddin, injuring him. He was taken to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Hospital, where doctors reported that his condition is stable.
