Delhi’s new face of education showcased through 11 innovative stalls remained the centre of attraction at the Thyagaraj Stadium in New Delhi on Friday.
On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, a grand celebration of the Shikshak Mahakumbh – State Teachers’ Award was organised by the Delhi Government here. The Directorate of Education also hosted a special exhibition of educational initiatives and innovations.
This exhibition presented the city’s transformative journey in education through 11 innovative stalls, including CM Shri Stall, art exhibition, Samagra Shiksha and Vidyanjali, among others.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the stalls and interacted with the students.
He said that the way government school students were engaging in advanced and modern technology, experimenting with new ideas, was indeed a commendable step towards realising the vision of Viksit Bharat.
Some highlights of the exhibition included a grand installation of the National Emblem, symbolising India’s vision of knowledge and progress, and a unique digital display titled “Virāsat Bhi, Vikas Bhi”, depicting the educational journey of India from the Vedic age to the modern times.
The Delhi Chief Minister also visited the stalls and later congratulated the Directorate of Education for successfully organising the exhibition.
As many as 118 teachers and 5 educationists were felicitated at the event.
