A bomb threat email sent to the official mail ID of Faridabad’s Deputy Commissioner (DC) on Thursday morning created panic in the administration. The email, which contained a religious slogan along with the threat, led to an immediate security alert at the Mini-Secretariat in Sector 12.

Security agencies immediately swung into action and evacuated the employees. The entire premises were sealed.

The threat email was received around 7:30 am, prompting authorities to take swift action. Security agencies, including the bomb disposal squad, sniffer dog squad, crime team and cyber police started a search operation. No one was allowed to go inside or outside the secretariat. After an extensive search operation, no suspicious object was found. Around 3:30 pm, officials confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax.
