A fire erupted at four shops at the Mayur Vihar Phase-2 market in New Delhi around 11.30 pm on Sunday, causing extensive damage to the market area, though no casualties were reported.

Kalkaji residents Amar Preet Singh and Suman Jeet Singh said they own four shops of school uniforms in the market. “We closed our shops around 9.30 pm and went home. Around 11.30 pm, we were informed that a fire had broken out in our shops,” said Amar.
