Five people were arrested for the killing of a 23-year-old man in Govindpuri, southeast Delhi, following a petty dispute that escalated after one of the accused became enraged over the victim’s alleged interest in his girlfriend, police said on Sunday. The arrested have been identified as Prince, Aman alias Buddha, Neeraj, Ashish and Angad, all aged between 18 and 20 years.

The murder took place late on Friday at Pravasi Ekta Camp, with a PCR call alerting police at 9.52 pm that a man was lying on the ground, bleeding heavily. By the time the team reached the spot, the injured man had already been shifted to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he was declared brought dead.

The deceased was identified as Roshan, son of Shashi Kumar, a resident of Indira Kalyan Camp, Okhla Phase I. A case was registered at Govindpuri police station and an investigation launched.
