The Delhi Police have solved the shocking murder case of a 5-year-old boy within 24 hours. The accused, identified as Nitu Saday, was arrested by a joint team of PS Narela, the AATS and the Special Staff. Blood stained clothes were also recovered from his possession.
According to the police, “On October 21, at about 3.30 PM, a kidnapping call was received at the NIA Police Station, which was later transferred to the Narela Police Station. Upon enquiry it was revealed that the 5-year-old son of the complainant was playing outside his house when he went missing.
Later, the child's body was found in Nitu's room, who is the complainant's driver, and resides in a nearby house. The complainant said that the previous evening, his two drivers Nitu and Wasim got into a fight while drunk, and Nitu beat Wasim. When Wasim complained to him, he slapped Nitu and scolded him.
Angered by this, Nitu allegedly lured his son away from the house, took him to his rented room, and killed him with bricks and a knife. The police took the child to the hospital, where he was declared dead. Accordingly, a case under Section 103(1) of the BNS was registered at the Narela PS.
The team closely monitored bus stations, railway stations and interstate bus stands. Through technical surveillance, CCTV footage analysis and secret information, Nitu's movements were traced to the Malkaganj area of Delhi. Acting swiftly, the joint team zeroed in on his location and successfully apprehended him. During interrogation, he confessed to his involvement in the crime.
The police statement noted, “During sustained interrogation, the accused Nitu Saday, S/o Lalu Saday, R/o PO-Pokharauni, Ward No. 11, Distt. Madhubani, PS Saharghat Madhwapur, Bihar (temporary address: Room No. 2, Ground Floor, New Sannoth Colony, Gogha Mod, Narela, Delhi), disclosed his motive and role in the offence.”
