From ramp walk to cooking skills, Gurugram women display versatility

Event was aimed at instilling confidence in rural women

Will To Win Foundation, a women’s skill development centre, organised a unique empowerment event for rural women at Sanp Ki Nangli village in Sohna sub-division. The event was aimed at building confidence and recognise the hidden talents of rural women.

The event also featured a sports day with ‘Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law’ theme, in which the participants competed in various events and received gold, silver and bronze medals.

The other activities included singing, dancing, stand-up comedy, ramp shows, cooking events, featuring instant cooking challenges, and fashion show.

The women aged between 12 and 60 participated in the event, showcasing their skills and

talents.

Jolly Tuli, founder of ‘Will To Win Foundation’ said, “Confidence is key to success. We aim to empower rural women by providing a platform to recognise their talents and build confidence.”

The event was graced by an elderly woman, Durgaji, former Sarpanch of Bhondsi village, who honoured the participants. Vandana Ahluwalia, secretary, and Manisha Taneja, joint secretary, were also present.
