G’gram teacher molests Class X student, held

The Gurugram police arrested a private school teacher for allegedly molesting a Class X student after calling her alone in the room on pretext of checking the practical book.

The accused was produced in a city court today and sent to judicial custody.

According to the police, the incident happened on Monday afternoon when class teacher Vishal called the 15-year-old student to the first floor room with her practical book. There, he molested her.

The girl left her book and returned to the class but did not disclose it to anybody.

On Friday, the girl confided in her mother and she rushed the girl to the police. Following the complaint, an FIR under Section 10 of the POCSO Act was registered against the teacher on Friday night. The teacher was nabbed by the police on Saturday morning. “The accused, 32-year-old Vishal, a resident of Bhora Kalan village, confessed to the crime. He was produced in a city court today and sent to judicial custody,” said police spokesperson Subhash Bokan.
