According to a fire officer, a sudden fire broke out in a warehouse in the industrial area at 8:40 am. After the alert was sounded at the fire brigade control room, fire engines from the Manesar fire station led by fire officer Lalit Kumar reached the spot. Due to the severity of the fire, fire engines were called in from nearby Gurugram, Manesar and Pataudi fire stations. The warehouse contained thousands of metric tonnes of clothes and shoes due to which the fire spread rapidly.

“Due to the fire, nearby factories were alerted and traffic was diverted. The fire was brought under control after eight hours of effort. The cause of the fire may have been a short circuit or electrical fault but it is a matter of investigation”, said Narender Kumar, a senior fire officer.
