Govt to ensure grand celebrations in festival season, says minister

Delhi Government’s Minister for Social Welfare, SC/ST/OBC Welfare, Cooperation & Elections Ravinder Indraj Singh said ensuring the convenience of devotees was the government’s priority. “The historic organisation of the Kanwar Yatra and the grand celebration of S Krishna Janmashtami have been successfully concluded, and in the coming days, grand arrangements will also be made for Ramleela performances and Dussehra celebrations,” he said.

On Krishna Janmotsav in the Bawana Assembly constituency, Ravinder Indraj offered prayers and shared the festive joy with devotees. He participated in the Janmashtami programmes organised at Krishna Seva Braj Mandal in Ishwar Colony and Guru Kripa Vatika, along with locals.

He said, “As per the directions of CM Rekha Gupta, arrangements must be ensured for security and traffic management during festivals. With the cooperation of the local administration, police and MC, special focus will be given to cleanliness, drinking water, lighting and traffic control around the venues. Adequate deployment of police personnel will be ensured for crowd management, while ambulances and medical teams will remain on standby for any emergency.”

Indraj said, “The government is committed to ensuring smooth arrangements for all religious celebrations.”
