In a push towards digitising public services, the Delhi Government today launched a fully online system for the renewal of Fire Safety Certificates. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the Portal for Online Renewal of Fire Safety Certificate at the Delhi Secretariat, calling it a key step towards transparent, technology-driven governance and improved ease of doing business in the Capital.
The portal has been developed jointly by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the Delhi Government. It aims to modernise what has traditionally been a manual and time-consuming process. Senior officials from the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) and Delhi’s Home and Education Minister Ashish Sood were present at the launch.
The new digital workflow allows applicants to submit renewal forms online along with three essential documents. Applications are automatically routed to relevant officers, including the Scrutiny Assistant, ADO, Divisional Officer, Deputy Chief Fire Officer and Chief Fire Officer/Director.
