Gurugram hospital performs India’s first surgery for schizophrenia

New Delhi, June 29

A 28-year-old man from Africa, suffering from schizophrenia for 13 years, has become the first person to undergo a surgery for schizophrenia in India.

“This is the first surgery performed in India, for schizophrenia, a debilitating mental illness, said doctors from Marengo Asia Hospitals, Gurugram, in a statement.
