Haryanvi singer booked for assaulting fan during concert
A fan of Haryanvi singer Masoom Sharma has filed a complaint with the police, alleging that the singer pulled him down from the stage by his collar and abused him during a music concert in Gurugram. A video has also gone viral on social media.
In his complaint, Parvesh Baghoria said on March 22, he had to the Gymkhana Club in Sector 29, where the music concert was going on.
Around 9:45 pm, he went towards the stage to meet the singer, for which he was given the permission by the security staff. When he reached the stage to take a selfie, Sharma grabbed his collar and physically harassed him. Later, he was pushed off the stage and abused by him.
“Following this, when the video of this incident went viral on social media, it hurt my self-esteem. When I reached home, he felt humiliated and due to this, the situation at my home also became tense, so action should be taken against him,” as Parvesh said in his complaint.
After this incident, Masoom Sharma’s followers started harassing him and his family. Before filing a complaint with the Police Commissioner, Parvesh came live on social media and narrated the incident.
Inspector Ravi Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of the Sector 29 police station, said they had received the complaint and the matter was under investigation. Action would be taken as per the law, he added.
