Delhi witnessed moderate to heavy rainfall on Monday afternoon, leading to widespread waterlogging and severe traffic jams across the city, particularly during peak evening office hours.

While the downpour provided respite from the heat, it triggered massive disruption on the roads. Waterlogging and long traffic snarls were reported across Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad, with gridlocks stretching for kilometres.

South Delhi witnessed the worst impact, with congestion on Mahatma Gandhi Road, NH-48, Captain Gaur Marg and Press Enclave Marg. At Saket, an ambulance remained stranded near Max Hospital for over half an hour.

In Pitampura, heavy jams choked Netaji Subhash Place and the Outer Ring Road.

The disruption was widespread, affecting key stretches such as Bahadurgarh Road, Mathura Road, Lodhi Road, Vikas Marg, Najafgarh Road and ITO. From Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Setu to Jangpura, commuters struggled through flooded streets.
