The family of Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, custodians of the sacred Jore Sahib for 300 years, had handed over their care and custody to the Sikh Sangat yesterday.

The relics were given to Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee in the presence of its president Harmeet Singh Kalka and placed at the Moti Bagh Gurdwara.

Hardeep Puri himself carried the Jore Sahib to the gurdwara yesterday.

Patna is the birthplace of Guru Gobind Singh.

A special committee of Sikh influencers formed earlier to determine the final home of the relics had unanimously voted for Patna Sahib Gurdwara.
